Teresa McCue is a fiscal year 2008 recipient of a Career Development grant from the Arrowhead Regional Arts Council (www.aracouncil.org) which is made possible through an appropriation from The McKnight Foundation.  Teresa will use this grant to travel to Norway to participate in a Telemark Rosemaling class conducted by world famous Norwegian rosemaling artist Bjorg Kleivi.

  ARTIST STATEMENT

My work is built upon the classical traditions of rosemaling.  Inspired by the old European and Norwegian   Masters, I work as a colorist where the colors are the musical notes, the ornamentation is the silent speaker, and  the love of Scandinavian traditions the bearing for my artistic expression.
